What is an important skill for someone to have in your profession?
In order to be successful in any industry it is important to draft a moral code. It is imperative that collegiate athletic administrators set a good example for their student athletes. One must adhere to that moral code and act honorably as they represent their college or university, current students, alumni, the local community, and themselves.
What has been your most unique learning experience?
My most unique learning experience has come as a result of joining the Los Angeles Mayor's Crisis Response Team, which is a group of volunteers who respond to traumatic incidents at the request of the Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Fire Department. Unfortunately, 99% of these incidents involve fatalities. The job of a CRT volunteer is to aid friends, family members, and witnesses to critical traumatic incidents such as house fires, traffic accidents, suicides, homicides, and natural deaths. For many of these people, it is the worst day of their lives.
What is something people might not know about you?
People might not know that I like to read and write poetry.
