What is an interesting trend emerging in your field?
A trend I have witnessed throughout my professional and academic career is the integration of technology into human resources functions. By implementing technology to manage a number of administrative HR tasks, HR professionals are now expected to provide subject matter expertise to business leaders regarding a number of organizational issues. This trend will force current and future human resources practitioners to evolve into problem solvers, consultants, and business advisors.

How do you give back?
I was chosen as one of fifteen employees firm-wide at Deloitte to volunteer at the 2014 and 2015 Warrior Games, a week-long adaptive athletic event for wounded, ill, and injured veterans. Giving back to our nation’s veterans continues to be one of my passions and one of my favorite ways to spend the weekends. Additionally, sharing these unique, life changing experiences with my colleagues has made me a more engaged and motivated employee and leader.
