Course Description:

The study and practice of diversity and inclusion is based on thesocial and normative construction of differences. This course providesa solid analysis of current diversity theory and practice includingthe social construction of differences, the theoretical underpinningsof diversity and oppression theory/practice in a U.S. and worldhistorical context, systems theory and change, conflict, participatoryaction research, values, ethics and practitioner competencies. Thisin-depth course provides a solid theoretical grounding for diversityprofessionals and others with responsibility for diversity inorganizations.
