At the School of Continuing Studies, student life is built around a simple idea: you can’t succeed in the classroom without support for your mind, body, and spirit. That idea is rooted in the Jesuit value of cura personalis, or care for the whole person. Located in the heart of Washington, D.C.’s vibrant Chinatown neighborhood, our downtown campus offers more than 95,000 square feet of state-of-the-art learning space, including 30 classrooms, a digital media lab, a broadcast studio, group study rooms, and a café. With a perfect Transit Score of 100 and a Walk Score of 99, you’re never far from the nation’s capital’s museums, monuments, restaurants, and cultural attractions—opportunities to enrich your experience outside of traditional learning environments.

Because life at SCS extends far beyond our facilities. You’ll learn without limits by connecting with industry leaders and organizations right in our neighborhood, from PR firms and media outlets to government agencies and nonprofits. As for the logistics of living in a big city, we’ve got you covered with an Off-Campus Housing Service and access to Georgetown’s graduate housing at 55 H Street N.W. You’ll also find robust health and wellness resources, including CAPS counseling, Student Health Services, a private wellness room, and a free membership to Yates Field House on Georgetown’s Main Campus. Plus, you’re invited to explore spiritual life with us through worship, retreats, and Mission in Motion, with Campus Ministry chaplains ready to accompany you regardless of your faith tradition.

Graduate education can be a significant undertaking, but you don’t have to navigate your journey alone.
