Mike Malloy serves as an Adjunct Professor, Entrepreneur-in-Residence, and former Ultimate Frisbee Coach at Georgetown. Mike earned his Master’s in Computer Science from Georgetown in 2012 and leveraged his skills to solve the traveling salesman problem as the CEO of Waveborn Sunglasses from 2011-2016. After Waveborn went bankrupt, Mike spent the next 5 years serving as the Program Director at the Halcyon Incubator to run a 5-month residential program for the most impactful social entrepreneurs from around the world. He currently leads Malloy Industries, which is a marketplace to match growth-stage companies with fractional executives to scale their business. Mike teaches UNXD 4970 and 7950 (Graduate) Startup Internship Seminar during the summer, fall, and spring semesters to teach grad students foundational professional skills while working as interns at startups or growth-stage companies. He received the 2022 Outstanding Entrepreneurship Faculty Award.
