Sarah Steinberg
Dr. Sarah B. Steinberg is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Higher Education Program in the School of Continuing Studies.
Bio and Featured Works
Sarah served for 20 years at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. As Executive Director of Engineering and then Senior Associate Dean in Arts and Sciences, she oversaw the programmatic, marketing and business strategies, as well as the development and implementation of on ground and fully online masters degree programs reaching more than 5000 graduate students per year.In 2010, Sarah was named the Vice Provost for Student Affairs and subsequently the Executive Vice Provost of Johns Hopkins University, with responsibility for university-wide strategic initiatives, including online and continuing/professional education - focusing on the intersection of technology and education at the forefront of meeting the demands of a technology-driven workforce.
In 2021, Sarah joined the University of Arizona as the Chief of Staff and was subsequently appointed at the Provost and Senior Vice President in 2022. She served as the Chief Academic Officer and senior strategic leader with a focus on the transformation of adult education, including organizational development, innovation in retention and degree completion, and national and international academic programming. Sarah currently holds the title at Provost Emeritus.
As the Founder and CEO of Frogstone Strategies (2014-present), Sarah leverages her extensive leadership experience in higher education and education technology to work with colleges, universities and private industry to achieve revenue growth and sustainability. Sarah is a frequent presenter, panelist, and moderator on a range of topics in higher education.
Sarah has a BS and Masters of Engineering from Cornell University, an MBA from Northwestern University, and a Doctorate in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
