Mary McCarty Earley is a research professional with extensive experience in public relations research, market research, media analysis, and business intelligence research.Prior to founding her consultancy in 2004, Earley was senior vice president and group head with Edelman PRs research subsidiary, StrategyOne, where she worked with clients such as Pfizer, Microsoft, Progress Energy and the American Plastics Council.

Mary McCarty Earley is a research professional with extensive experience in public relations research, market research, media analysis, and business intelligence research.

Prior to founding her consultancy in 2004, Earley was senior vice president and group head with Edelman PR's research subsidiary, StrategyOne, where she worked with clients such as Pfizer, Microsoft, Progress Energy and the American Plastics Council. In this role, Earley advised executive leadership of Fortune 500 clients and major trade associations on research strategies. In addition to her corporate clients, Earley’s clients included news outlets, nonprofits, and academic organizations. She is a member of the Conference Board's Market Insight Council.

Awards

For her work with Herbalife, Earley is a 2019 and 2017 team recipient of the Bronze David Ogilvy award from the Advertising Research Foundation, a 2021 team recipient of the Quirk's Marketing Research Excellence Award for a Global Market Research project, and a 2019 team recipient of a Quirk's Marketing Research Excellence Award for best in-house marketing team.

Earley received the Outstanding Faculty Tropaia Award from Georgetown in 2022 and 2025.

Speaking

Earley is a member of the Direct Selling Association's Industry Research Committee and regularly presents at conferences in this role. In July 2023, Earley spoke at Quirk's NY Conference on Herbalife's global rebranding research.

Education

Earley received her bachelor's degree in Italian from the University of Virginia and a master's in information science from the Catholic University of America.

Personal

In addition to her professional activities, Earley is a proud mother of three children and a proud human of two dogs.
