Nazanin Azizian
Dr. Naz Azizian has over two decades of experience in the fields of defense, aerospace, and intelligence.

Currently, she serves as the Director of Space and National Intelligence at the Office of the Under Secretary of War (Acquisition and Sustainment), where she provides acquisition oversight and technical direction to ensure synchronization, integration, and program health (cost, schedule, performance, risk) of the national Intelligence acquisitions, Space Control, Space Command and Control, Space Domain Awareness, and Space Launch portfolios.Prior to OSW(A&S), Dr. Azizian was a senior staff at the Office of the Secretary of War (CAPE) where she led the development of numerous President’s Budget submissions across various administrations, most recently the formulation of a $1.5 trillion FY27 President’s Budget for the Department of War. Dr. Azizian has vast experience in aligning investments with the National Security and Defense Strategies and analyzing complex multi-billion portfolios (e.g. munitions, ISR, integrated air and missile defense, cyber, ships, next gen fighters etc.) across all domains including space, air, sea, cyber, and land.
From 2013-2022, Dr. Azizian served in various roles at the Office of the Under Secretary of War (Intelligence and Security). Naz has led key Department initiatives liaising with Congress, Office of Management and Budget, and interagency stakeholders leveraging her expertise in Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution, Acquisition, Strategy.
Dr. Azizian holds a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, M.S. in Electrical Engineering, and B.S. in Biomedical Engineering all from The George Washington University. Naz completed a National Security Fellowship at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
