Kevin Downs holds an MFA in film from NYU.

Bio and Featured Works

He optioned four screenplays for theatrical feature films and worked as a key creative partner with several Academy, Emmy, and Grammy Award-winning/nominated producers, directors, and musical artists. He is the recipient of grants and awards from the Louis B. Mayer Foundation, the Cafritz Foundation, WorldFest-Houston, and the International Telly Awards. He has been teaching screenwriting at Georgetown for well over twenty years. Several of his former students are now writers, producers, and executives at well-established companies such as DreamWorks, The Sundance Institute, Highbridge Productions, and Showtime.
