In her role as Amazon’s Principal AI Strategist, Zorina Alliata, Ph.D., “uses five or six different types of AI every day for research, for putting content together, for summarizing, for understanding complex things,” she tells Georgios Moschoglou, Ph.D., faculty director of the Master’s in Project Management program at Georgetown University. “It’s just a great tool for all of us to have.” Outside of her day job, Alliata is also studying AI itself and presenting her research at conferences around the world. While AI might be a wonderful tool, is she concerned that it might one day become so sophisticated that it replaces the project management field entirely? Alliata doesn’t think this will happen, but she urges project managers to learn everything they can about this evolving technology to stay ahead of the curve.
