Georgetown’s Online Master of Professional Studies in Emergency & Disaster Management program prepares students to investigate, manage, and analyze emergencies and natural hazards and how they affect social, political, environmental, and economic systems. You’ll develop a greater understanding of the context in which emergency management is practiced in the United States and around the world.

You'll have the opportunity to examine both case studies and real-world examples of coordinated, multi-jurisdictional, multi-discipline responses. You’ll not only understand the complexity of such attacks, but also how current and emerging technologies, such as machine learning and AI, can be effectively utilized.

Students will leave the online degree program ready to work with the private and public sectors to incorporate hazard mitigation and disaster management into all aspects of operations, planning, and decision-making. You’ll be an expert on response infrastructure and cross-coordination of local, national, and international teams.
