As a student at the School of Continuing Studies, you may be eligible for federal financial aid. To determine eligibility for Federal aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Please review the "How to Apply" area of the financial aid website below for details regarding the requirements for each academic term.

Military Benefits
The Military and Veterans' Resource Center connects military students and veterans with the resources they need to successfully transition from combat to classroom and from classroom to new career. This includes help navigating the admissions process, applying for financial aid and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs education benefits, academic assistance, and preparing to re-enter the workforce.
Scholarships
In keeping with the Jesuit tradition of academic excellence and community engagement, the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program is proud to offer several distinct scholarships. To be considered for a scholarship, you must first submit a FAFSA to the federal government, requesting that a Student Aid Report be sent to the Georgetown University Office of Student Financial Services (code 001445) by the deadline for each semester. In addition, you must be actively registered for at least one course in the semester you wish to receive a scholarship by the application deadline each semester. Scholarships are granted on a competitive basis and the selection committee is not able to discuss individual awards.

Osher Re-entry Scholarship
The Osher Re-entry Scholarship awards up to $5,000 per student per academic year and is dedicated to both newly admitted and current students in the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program.
Osher Re-entry Scholarships are aimed at students who:
- Have experienced a cumulative gap in education of five or more years
- Anticipate workforce participation for a significant period of time after graduation
- Demonstrate financial need
- Show academic promise and a commitment to graduating with a degree
The Osher Re-entry Scholarship program is made possible by the Bernard Osher Foundation, headquartered in San Francisco and founded in 1977 by Bernard Osher, a respected businessman and community leader. The foundation seeks to improve quality of life through support for higher education and the arts. The foundation provides post-secondary scholarship funding to colleges and universities across the nation, with special attention to re-entry students.

Crankstart Foundation Re-entry Scholarship
The Crankstart Foundation Re-entry Scholarship awards up to $5,000 per student per academic year and is dedicated to both newly admitted and current students in the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program.
Crankstart Foundation Re-entry Scholarships are aimed at students who:
- Have experienced a cumulative gap in education of five or more years
- Anticipate workforce participation for a significant period of time after graduation
- Demonstrate financial need
- Show academic promise and a commitment to graduating with a degree
The Crankstart Foundation is the charitable enterprise of Michael Moritz and Harriet Heyman. The couple's philanthropy in the California Bay Area is mainly focused on education, and arts and culture, but support has also gone to parks and human services. The Crankstart Foundation Re-entry Scholarship is made possible only by the generosity of Mr. Moritz and Mrs. Heyman.

LaFarge Scholarship
The LaFarge Scholarship awards three scholarships per academic year: One to a student who studied at Montgomery College, one to a student who studied at Northern Virginia Community College, and one to a student who studied at Prince George’s Community College.
Students who complete an associate's degree at Montgomery College, Prince George's Community College, or Northern Virginia Community College, with a 3.0 GPA or higher, will be reviewed for guaranteed admission into the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program.
The three LaFarge Scholarships provide each awarded student with a 50 percent reduction in tuition costs for the duration of his or her time as a degree-seeking student in the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program. Scholarship recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in Georgetown courses to receive the scholarship benefits.
The Rev. John LaFarge Jr, SJ, was an American Jesuit priest. For decades, he served as an editor and writer for the Jesuit magazine America. He was noted for his efforts to promote racial tolerance.

Phi Theta Kappa Bridge Scholarship
The Phi Theta Kappa Bridge Scholarship is awarded to one student each year entering the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program. The scholarship grants the student a 50 percent reduction in Georgetown tuition costs for the duration of the student’s time in the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program, as long as the student maintains a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 in Georgetown courses.
PTK Bridge Scholarship honors students who:
- Are a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Have completed at least 35 credits from their 2-year institution
- Demonstrate academic excellence and financial need

CoLAB’s Digital Tech Credential Scholarship
The CoLAB's Digital Tech Credential Scholarship ($2,500/student) exists for students enrolled (or planning to enroll) in the CoLAB Digital Tech Credential. Students pursuing the Business and Entrepreneurship concentration will likely be a natural fit for this scholarship given that the requirements for the Digital Tech Credential and the BALS B/E concentration are similar. Preference will be given to members of groups that are underrepresented in the digital tech profession.
