International Design Research Lecture Series

The Georgetown University International Design Research Lecture Series invites renowned design scholars from around the world to present their latest research and knowledge. The series provides students with an opportunity to engage directly with leading design scholars who connect their research to real-world challenges. Each lecture, lasting 30 minutes, is followed by a 15-minute Q&A session where students can ask questions and discuss how design research can address contemporary societal issues as well as career trajectory. The series is designed to help students integrate theory with practice, offering a deeper understanding of how research can drive meaningful innovation and solve complex global problems. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how their own work can evolve into solutions for real-world problems, preparing them for leadership roles in the public sector and industry.
