Rodney Parks

Parks received his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Management from the Johns Hopkins University. He is also a graduate of the 201st session of the F.B.I. National Academy. He served thirty-one years with the Metropolitan Police Department Washington, D.C. While with the MPD he rose to the rank of Assistant Chief and served in various assignments from patrol, Homicide and criminal investigations Commander, asst. director of continuing studies at the Police Academy, Internal Affairs, Disciplinary Review, Recruiting and Human Resources units. Parks began his experience as an instructor of law enforcement topics while with the MPD and has continued instructing law enforcement seminars locally and in other parts of the U.S. He is an adjunct professor with the University of the District of Columbia Community College. He has instructed internationally in Trinidad and Tobago and lectured to various international audiences. He has coached youth sports for the Catholic Youth Organization. He currently is the Head of Safety and Security at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C.  This will be his tenth year as Academic Director of the Forensic Science Academy
