Ani Matson
Professor Ani Matson is a boardroom-tested strategist and award-winning educator who helps leaders turn ambiguity into growth.
Over three decades, she has led enterprise transformation across strategy, digital, and data—advising CEOs, boards, and investors on where to play, how to win, and what to build next. Ani is Co-Founder of the CMO Syndicate, a brain trust of C-level operators who design and operationalize growth systems for PE-backed and mid-market companies. She has held executive roles at S&P Global and the National Education Association’s Member Benefits Corporation and previously founded, scaled, and exited a specialty publishing firm.
Ani teaches AI for Business, In Search of the Big Idea, and Foundations of Integrated Marketing Communications at Georgetown University, where she received the Tropaia Award for Outstanding Faculty. She serves on the board Help Heal Vets and advises at the Maryland Innovation Center.
An advocate for lifelong learning, Professor Matson holds a BA in International Relations from Clark University, an MBA from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business, a Strategic Marketing Management Certificate from Harvard Business School, and an Executive Data Science Specialization from Johns Hopkins University.
