Brooke Smith

Brooke Smith engages learners in innovation and entrepreneurship at Georgetown University, the University of Maryland, and beyond through human-centered design courses and workshops.

She creates and facilitates experiences using design thinking and lean startup to empower learners to become creative problem solvers. Brooke teaches students how to become design thinkers and coach others through the process. She also develops interactive workshops and programs for academic and public sector leaders across the region, including the Department of Health and Human Services, NASA, and local non-profits focused on applying human-centered design methods to their respective fields. 


Brooke received her B.A. in Psychology and B.A. French from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She received her M.P.S. in Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland, College Park.
