Joel Todoroff

Joel served in the US Government for over 15 years, including with the intelligence community, Department of Defense, Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, and as a law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

In those roles he led a range of efforts related to cybersecurity, ubiquitous technical surveillance, and artificial intelligence. He also worked on law and policy surrounding the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, including the reauthorization of the FISA Amendments Act and the sunset of the call detail records program in the USA Freedom Act. Joel holds a B.A. from Brandeis University, an M.S. from New York University Tandon School of Engineering, and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
