Katharina Vogel
Katharina holds a BA in German Studies and English and American Studies, and an MA in European Languages from Technische Universität Dresden in Germany.
Her passion for intercultural exchange led her to Ireland and the US. After teaching German at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, and the Ohio State University in Columbus, she decided to pursue a doctorate at Georgetown University. Katharina’s main research interest continues to be in Second Language Acquisition, with a focus on intercultural communication, the use of intermediality in the language classroom, and technologically supported language learning. Her interests in digital humanities primarily encompass digital platforms that enable a greater accessibility of educational materials for the broader public.
