Profiles in Professional Pathways is Professional Education's LinkedIn Live series focused on clear connections between certificate learning outcomes and the skills professionals need to succeed in the 2026 job market and beyond. Each 30-minute session is designed for lunch-hour viewing.
The Georgetown Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education will equip novice and experienced faculty and learning professionals with the essential knowledge, skills, and tools to create a positive learning environment and increase student engagement.
Blending theory and practice, this program covers the critical issues in teaching and learning, from designing effective learning experiences to assessing student learning, engaging and communicating with students, navigating student behavior challenges, fostering an inclusive learning climate, and addressing ethical and compliance issues.
Lisa Andrews, Ph.D., will facilitate a panel conversation with Sherry Steeley, Associate Teaching Professor, Stephanie Kim, Associate Professor of the Practice and Faculty Director of Higher Education Administration at Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies. This event connects real workplace needs to specific certificate outcomes.
The format includes audience participation; expect live prompts, quick polls, and targeted Q&A so attendees can test their own skill gaps against what employers now expect.
