Frederic Lemieux

Dr. Frédéric Lemieux is a Professor of the Practice and Faculty Director of the Master of Professional Studies programs in Applied Intelligence, Cybersecurity Risk Management, Information Technology Management, and Artificial Intelligence Management at Georgetown University. Recognized as an innovative scholar and strategic academic leader, Dr. Lemieux specializes in intelligence studies, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. He earned his Ph.D. in Criminology from the University of Montreal in 2002.

Over the course of his academic career at the University of Montreal, George Washington University, and Georgetown University, Dr. Lemieux has founded and directed several pioneering programs in intelligence, policing, homeland security, cybersecurity, and disruptive technology management. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping interdisciplinary curricula that bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, preparing professionals to address complex security and technology challenges across sectors.

Dr. Lemieux’s research interests encompass intelligence analysis, national security, homeland security policy, and cybersecurity risk management. His work employs a range of qualitative, quantitative, and computational methodologies to investigate critical issues in modern security governance. His scholarship has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes, and he has served as a keynote speaker and panelist at major national and international conferences.

In addition to his research and teaching, Dr. Lemieux has acted as a reviewer, editor, and evaluator for various academic, governmental, and private sector organizations, contributing his expertise to advancing best practices in education, research, and technology innovation.
