Long a fixture of theme parks and ski resorts, gondolas are making a comeback as one of the hottest trends in urban transportation. In this video, Uwe Brandes, Executive Director of Georgetown’s University’s Urban & Regional Planning master’s program, speaks with transportation planners from New York City, Algeria, and Medellin, Colombia, about why this century-old technology is appearing above some of the world’s most densely populated cities.
