Explore the multi-dimensional issues surrounding the planning for and response to disaster events caused by natural hazards, such as severe weather and geophysical events, as well as those caused by technological hazards, including hazardous material spills and critical infrastructure failures.
Note: This course will run virtually throughout the semester and meets weekly on Wednesday from 12-2pm EST. The residency is scheduled for a duration of 10 days in Oman, and will include the topics of Theory and Legal Frameworks as well as Natural Hazards. Residency dates: January 23, February 1, 2021
This course is restricted to students enrolled in the International Executive Master's Degree program.

Note: This course is run entirely virtually. The residency is scheduled for a duration of 4 days of virtual learning, followed by 4 days of an in-person residency during the Spring 2021 semester as part of the MPEM 601 residency from January 23-Feb1, 2021.
