Financial Strategies & Business Acumen: Beginning with an introduction to financial statements, you will learn to identify the primary financial statements and apply the accounting equation principles to the financial statements. You will prepare financial statements in comparative form and explain how such statements are used. Using financial analysis tools, you will conduct strategic business analysis, accounting analysis, and financial analysis through value-relevant information contained within financial statements. You will conduct applied business research to explain the fundamental role of accounting numbers in the valuation of entities and the key financial claims on these entities’ assets (equity and debt securities). By the end of the program, you will understand the art of finance pro-forma analysis and apply common finance metrics to evaluate a deal.
