The Global Sports Operations and Strategy program isn't just about learning the theory, it’s about experiencing elite sport from boardroom to stadium. The cornerstone of The Global Sports Operations & Strategy program is professional mentoring and networking opportunities. Through two residency experiences—one in Manchester and the other in New York City—students will forge in-person connections with professionals currently steering the strategy and operations of sports organizations around the world.
At the heart of the Manchester residency is the Manchester City Sports Business School, located within Manchester City Football Club and the wider City Football Group—a global network of 13 clubs including New York City Football Club. Through this collaboration, students in the Executive Master’s program will experience the business of football from two of the world’s most dynamic sporting cities, Manchester and New York, gaining first-hand insight into how elite clubs operate on a global stage.

Through five core courses, students will explore the full breadth of Global Sports Operations & Strategy with a focus on functional performance and infrastructure, providing a behind-the-scenes perspective on the various departments that constitute a sports organization.
The program culminates in a capstone course and corresponding final project that provide students the opportunity to synthesize their classroom knowledge and apply it to the real world. You’ll create a substantial deliverable that demonstrates your ability to address real-world challenges facing the global sports industry and propose actionable solutions tailored to a specific context.
You’ll graduate from the program at a time of immense growth: Since 2020, the global sports market has grown by an annual rate of 5 percent, according to Kearney. By 2030, the global market is expected to reach $602 billion, with openings in key sectors, from media rights to merchandising and everything in between.
