Michael has over 15 years of experience transforming organizational strategies and objectives into actionable projects / programs / portfolios that achieve sustainable and measurable results for commercial, non-profit, and government entities.
As an intellectually curious leader, he helps organizations develop and implement short- and long-term objectives that drive change within the organization by leveraging best practices in program/project management, policy development, business process engineering, and information technology solutions. In both professional and academic capacities, Michael has extensive experience providing coaching and mentoring to experienced and untrained professionals in a variety of subject matter areas, including project/program management, business process engineering, risk management, quality management, and change management. As the Director of Project Management at a large, global consulting firm, he supports the evolution of the corporate back-office (people, processes, and systems) to drive efficiency and continued growth. In this role, Michael designs and directs strategic initiatives to improve the executive management, accounting/finance, human capital, information technology, and marketing/business development functions. Michael has managed projects in the financial services industry, acted as a program manager for two multi-billion dollar government programs, supported a project management office (PMO) for a large international utility company, and designed/implemented multiple PMOs in the professional services industry. An active volunteer in the PMIDC Chapter, Michael served as the Vice President and Board member for both Partnership Management and Educational Partnerships. He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from the George Washington University in Finance and International Finance, a Master’s in Business Administration from George Mason University in Project Management, and a Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America. Michael also holds PMP, CSPO, CSM, and Six Sigma certifications.
