Magan Crane is the Morning Editor for the Washington bureau of Bloomberg News, where she previously served as an editor on the politics team covering the 2020 presidential election.
Magan is a former senior editor for digital politics at PBS NewsHour, digital and cross-format manager at the Associated Press and chief of the web and mobile desk at Agence France-Presse. She has worked across formats and managed experiments in digital storytelling for almost two decades.
Magan started her career as a reporter at The Capitol in Annapolis, Maryland, where she covered local news from school board meetings to a dentist who was moonlighting as a stunt pilot.
Magan has a master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism as well as a bachelor's in International Studies from the University of Oregon.
