Can business be a force for good? Dawn Carpenter believes it can, and not just within the narrow parameters of the marketplace. In her podcast, “More Than Money,” Carpenter looks at business activity from a broader perspective—one in which religious values play an integral role. “More Than Money” has been cited as one of Causeartist magazine’s “15 Social Innovation Podcasts That Will Inspire You to Change the World.” Now entering its second season, the podcast is planning to host consumer advocate Ralph Nader and the Head of Sustainability for NASCAR. Here Carpenter, a doctoral candidate in Georgetown’s Liberal Studies program, talks with Liberal Studies Associate Dean John Dolan, Ph.D., about this new vision for business.
