While the underlying theories remain the same, the world of international finance and capital markets is undergoing profound changes as the number of stakeholders grows and the footprint of technology expands. That’s the assessment of Daniel Spar, Ph.D, who teaches finance and international business for the Professional Certificate Programs at Georgetown University. Here, Spar talks with Jeffrey Warner, director of the certificate programs, about this emerging environment. “The world of technology is enabling the world of finance like never before,” Spar says, “and we bring those two together when we teach them here at Georgetown.”
Georgetown University remains open and dedicated to excellence in providing key services to our community. All in-person courses continue through distance instruction. All staff and faculty who normally work at the 640 Massachusetts Ave NW campus are teleworking and are available virtually.
