Networking doesn't involve attending events with the goal of trying to get as many business cards as possible. It's just the exchange of information between two people. Carol Blymire, faculty member for the master's in Public Relations & Corporate Communications program, says that networking is a give and take and provides a few tips for doing it successfully.
Carol Blymire is the founder of Blymire Communications, providing public relations, branding, and advocacy counsel to Fortune 100 corporations, national non-profits, celebrity foundations, and everything in between. She serves as Vice Chairman of the board of directors for the Celiac Disease Foundation, is a cookbook author, and hosts popular public affairs radio segments across the Clear Channel network in Washington and Baltimore.
SCS continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation and respond in support of the University community. Currently, all summer term courses will continue through distance instruction.
In terms of the Fall 2021 semester, the School of Continuing Studies will resume regular operations effective August 16 at the 640 Massachusetts Avenue building, unless otherwise noted for specific programs.
