As a principal, in Powerfulwork, Marcia’s focus is on creating a vibrant consulting firm dedicated to bringing leading-edge leadership and management tools to business and government.  With over 30 years of experience in the management field, Marcia has successfully helped corporations, universities, government agencies, and small businesses to increase productivity, improve teamwork, enhance processes, and effectively manage change. Her expertise is in helping leaders focus on the most critical issues facing them, creating clear, compelling visions of the future, and in supporting them to realize significant and sustainable change. Specializing in: creating effective and innovative organizational change strategies, developing high performance executive leadership teams, designing systems that support development of human capital in organizations.   Marcia is a Master Certified Coach with advanced certification from the Coaches Training Institute and the International Coach Federation.  She has coached hundreds of executives and business leaders in a variety of industries. In addition to her consulting and coaching, Marcia is a regular speaker at local and national conferences, is the author of Reboot! Your Working Relationships and is a panelist on Clear Channels’ radio program Women Talk.   She holds a graduate degree from George Washington University in Healthcare Administration and a Certificate in Organization Development from Georgetown University, where she was the Managing Director of the Organizational Development Program, Change Leadership Certificate Program and the Healthcare Management Certificate Program.   She is certified in a variety of surveys and 360 feedback instruments, including the Myers Briggs Indicator, the Clark Wilson Inventory, Total Leadership Circle Profile, and other measurement processes.  Marcia is also trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction by the University of Massachusetts.
