John Corso is an adjunct instructor in the Certificate in Strategic Management program. He is president and chief executive officer of Strategent Corporation, a management consulting firm. His academic and professional work is focused on organizational strategy, performance management, program and project management, process improvement, measurement and evaluation, ethics, and individual and organizational assessment. Dr. Corso also teaches Strategic Management for the Master’s Degree in Project Management program at Georgetown’s School of Continuing Studies.
Dr. Corso served as an internal management consultant and senior-level program manager for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from 1999 to 2018. Prior to that, he was a professional logistician and contracting officer. He is a former U.S. Navy Supply Corps officer, having retired at the rank of Commander in 2002.
Dr. Corso holds a doctorate in public administration from the University of Southern California’s Price School of Public Policy, a master's in general administration from Central Michigan University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business.
