Eliot Jung is a cybersecurity specialist at the Brookhaven National Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy. At BNL, Eliot supports Genesis AI project and cybersecurity, and conducts briefings and presentations to the greater BNL community. He is also currently a member of the Board of Advisory with Qtonic Quantum, a company that specializes in quantum encryption. Eliot has also been invited to present at other university and security consortium on Long Island. Prior to BNL, Eliot was an Executive Director and Tech Ops Lead with Global Cybersecurity at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Eliot led the Strategic Cybersecurity team, based in NYC, Jersey City, London, and Singapore, to monitor, research, and analyze geopolitical issues with cyber and market nexus. Furthermore, Eliot led the team to produce cyber risk index, country assessments, and intel alerts.
Prior to joining JPMC, Eliot was a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, and served in Asia, Middle East, Washington DC, and New York where he reviewed regional and country-specific political and economic issues to advise senior U.S. policymakers. His other professional experiences include starting an international education consulting company and working as a Senior Financial Analyst with the Capital Markets Group at State Street Corporation.
Eliot received his Doctor of Technology from Purdue University, Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, Masters of Science in Cybersecurity Technology from University of Maryland, and Bachelors of Arts from Colby College. Eliot is a former U.S. Fulbright Scholar, RSA Security Scholar, Black Hat Scholar, and a Madison Policy Fellow for Business-Government. He speaks Korean, Japanese, and Mandarin.
