Carol is the Faculty Director of the Public Relations and Corporate Communications (PRCC) at Georgetown's School of Continuing Studies. Carol has been with the PRCC program since it began in 2007 and has taught multiple courses and served in myriad advisory positions. She brings to this role more than 30 years of experience in strategic communications and public relations and has worked in two presidential administrations, for Fortune 100 companies, as well as run her own public affairs firm serving clients such as The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, AARP, Creating Healthier Communities, ACTforNIH, Amgen, Fannie Mae, and the Social Security Administration. Carol also taught Public Relations Writing at Johns Hopkins University.
Carol earned her BA in Communications and Psychology from The George Washington University, her Master's in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University, and her Master's in Business Administration from Western Governors University. She also completed two professional certification programs: the Harvard-MIT Public Disputes program (crisis communications and reputation management); and the U.C. Berkeley Science of Happiness at Work program. Carol is a volunteer with The Smithsonian Institution and NASA.
