Clay Black is the SVP Group Creative Director at DC Creative in Edelman’s DC office and brings with him over 15 years of creative brand building experience.
From beer to breakfast cereal, burgers to cosmetics, and insurance to deodorant, Clay has crafted and led the creative across a wide variety of categories.
Prior to joining Edelman, Clay was VP Creative Director at Leo Burnett Advertising in Chicago partnering with some of the world’s biggest brands, including the U.S. Army, Disney, Proctor & Gamble, Kellogg, and Allstate.
Through traditional, digital, social, and experiential media, Clay’s work has been awarded for both creativity and effectiveness.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Clay received his Bachelor’s degree in English from Hampden-Sydney College and a Masters in Communications from the Virginia Commonwealth University’s Brandcenter.
