Michael Altman

Michael Altman brings to Georgetown a strong domestic and international reputation for advising public and private sector organizations on strategies for using the power of design to create positive economic development, community growth, and social change.

Michael uses his destination development and place branding experience combined with a highly collaborative facilitation style to challenge and inspire designers, planners, architects and others towards innovative design, branding and marketing of public space, structures, and cities.

Michael is currently adjunct lecturer at Georgetown and teaches Strategy & Design Thinking, Global Service and Customer Experience and Intentional Leadership. He previously served for seven years as adjunct professor at George Washington University in the Master's of Tourism Administration Program where he taught courses in Applied Strategic Planning and Destination Marketing and consulted in their International Institute for Tourism Studies.
