Daniel Fackel

Daniel Fackel, Capstone Director Mr. Fackel holds a Bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University in Police Science and a Master’s of Science degree from Georgetown University in Biohazardous Threat Agents and Emerging Infectious Disease.

  Mr. Fackel has been working in the law enforcement field as Deputy Sheriff II at Arlington County (VA) Sheriff’s Office for nearly thirteen years with duties ranging from Field Training Officer (FTO), General Instructor to Defensive Tactics Instructor. During this period, he was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan assigned as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Intelligence Officer, and as an Electronic Warfare Officer. He also holds areas of expertise as an Operations Security (OPSEC) Officer, Anti-terrorism (AT) Officer and a Physical Security Officer.   He is currently a Captain (O3-E) in the Army Reserves as a Civil Affairs (38A) Officer. He also recently transitioned from law enforcement to Toeroek Associates, Inc. as a Senior Scientist working for the Department of Defense (DoD).
