Clare holds a BSc(Hons) in Building Technology from Manchester University and is a graduate of the Georgetown School of Continuing Studies Emergency and Disaster Management Executive Masters programme.
Clare’s career as a Facilities Manager has spanned over 20 years working in Europe, America, and the Middle East and netted her multiple awards. Clare’s global and diverse organisational experience has driven her valuable contribution to Georgetown in Qatar, providing support services to the core university mission. Leading a team of over 100 people, Clare delivers high-quality customer service to faculty, staff, students and visitors alike.
Throughout her career, Clare has expanded her knowledge and areas of responsibility, more recently taking on risk, compliance and emergency management as part of her portfolio. Risk and emergency management at Georgetown in Qatar, involve assessing and mitigating regional and local risk to the community, and by planning the organisational response to threats. Including the evacuation of students from Cairo during the Arab Spring to flood response in Jeddah, Clare has led response teams to address a variety of crisis situations.
