Steven Lewis
Steve Lewis is an adjunct instructor in the Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations and Corporate Communications program.
He serves as the lead digital content strategist for the FBI’s Office of Public Affairs. Lewis is also a commissioned Public Affairs Officer for the Secretary of the Air Force Public Affairs Division at the Pentagon where he manages digital media operations for AF.mil, SpaceForce.mil and the Air Force’s primary social media platforms. He originally enlisted in the Air Force in 2002 as a photojournalist before earning a commission in 2013.
Prior to being promoted to the role of adjunct instructor, Lewis served as an alumni advisor for several semesters assisting capstone students with their final communications plans before completing the MPR/CC program here at the School of Continuing Studies. Lewis also travels globally with the FBI to provide traditional and digital public relations training for the Department of State’s International Law Enforcement Academy. Before becoming a federal employee, he began his career in the private sector as a marketing projects manager and customer communications specialist for the Netherlands-based bank, ING Direct.
Lewis holds a master’s in Professional Studies via the School of Continuing Studies’ Public Relations and Corporate Communications program. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Delaware and has a certification in Public Affairs Leadership from the Defense Information School in Fort Meade, Maryland.
