From Super Bowls to Rugby World Cups, College Football Playoffs, to the Olympics, Brian Wedl has led sports and influencer-related talent procurement programs for Octagon and Rogers & Cowan PMK for thirteen years. On his first day, he researched and procured NFL players to appear at the Super Bowl Experience in Indianapolis. Fast forward more than a decade later, and he now oversees more than 100+ sports, entertainment, and influencer-related programs a year, ranging from national TV commercials to local player appearances. In addition, Brian has been a lecturer at Georgetown University, part of the Masters of Sports Management, for the past ten years. His classes include Strategic Sports Management and Digital Media & Consumer Engagement.
Past and current brand clients include General Mills, Subway, Bank of America, Pfizer, Nestle, Novartis, and Mastercard. Past programs have included talent like Peyton and Eli Manning, Hugh Jackman, Taylor Swift, David Beckham, Stephen Curry, Bob Dylan, and Wayne Gretzky.
Before joining Octagon full-time, Brian participated in the Octagon Experience Program, a three-month intensive internship with 20 interns from around the country. He also has previous internship experience at Under Armour. Brian holds a B.A. in Marketing and Management from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, where he was a member of the men’s golf team.
