Renee Macklin

Ms. Renee Macklin is an Executive Partner at Gartner, Inc. Prior to this job, she was the Director of Information Technology for Shared Services in the Department of Commerce. Before joining the Department of Commerce, she was the Chief Information Officer/Chief Privacy Officer for Small Business Administration (SBA). From 2001 to 2013, she was the Chief Information Officer for International Trade Administration within the Department of Commerce. In previous years, Renee managed several information technology organizations and data operation centers whose mission was the delivery of telecommunication products and services to Fortune 500 businesses globally.

Her positions spanned all areas of IT management including IT Operations, IT Security, IT Architecture, Web and Application development, IT Policy, Planning, Budget, and Resource Management. She has led a wide variety of IT projects including consolidation of application software, data center consolidation, implementation of cloud infrastructures, development of IT standards, implementation of ERP/CRM, and development of digital strategies.

She is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology in Computer Systems, B.T. and American University in Information Systems, M.S.
