Petra Platzer, PhD, PCC, NBC-HWC serves as Program Director and instructional faculty in the Health & Wellness Coaching Program. Dr. Platzer, Program Director, is a development-oriented coach, facilitator, educator, and systems thinker who emphasizes developing a coach approach and increasing our leadership capacities to transform our individual, team, and systems health. As a well-published cancer researcher, Petra focused on signaling pathways responsible for creating unhealthy systems. In her leadership roles, she recognized a different set of signaling pathways within people and teams that had similar unhealthy results for those individuals and their organizations. This ignited her passion for partnering to co-create the healthy, interdependent signaling needed to create behavior changes for well-being and excellence. With over 20 years in the research, healthcare, and leadership development space, Petra is a founding partner and CEO of SixSEED Partners, a coaching consultancy focused on providing integrated solutions to heal healthcare. Petra is a Professional Certified Coach (ICF), and NBHWC Certified Coach (NBC-HWC) and holds multiple certifications in advanced coaching frameworks and assessments. Dr. Platzer holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics, is a dual graduate of Georgetown Universitys Executive Leadership and Health & Wellness Coaching programs, and was named "Woman of the Year - Forward Thinker" by Glamour magazine and Toyota in 2005.
