Jen Wood, MA, NBC-HWC, PCC, RYT-200, National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, industry health leader and educator. Jen’s career began in education and evolved into corporate Human Resources where she spent nearly 20 years developing, facilitating, and leading development programs and coaching engagements for individuals and teams to improve performance and achieve greater results both professionally and personally. Care for the whole person – mind, body, and spirit was always at the core of her approach. She continually sought ways to integrate health and wellness principles with each of her corporate clients and found that improving well-being led to the most profound shifts in her clients lives. Jen first joined Georgetown in 2012 as a student in the Leadership Coaching Program, Cohort 34. Her role in the HWC program began as a Practicum Advisor for Cohort 3 in 2015, which evolved into Instructor and then Program and Cohort Co-Director beginning in 2016. She stepped away from her role as Program and Cohort Co-Director in 2020 to focus more fully on coaching in the healthcare arena. In addition to Georgetown, she leads the coaching program at Riva Health supporting a broad range of patients in reaching their individualized health and wellness vision and goals. Jen received certifications in health and wellness coaching from Georgetown University and has completed several advanced training programs in Motivational Interviewing, nutrition, mindfulness, resilience, and stress reduction. She is a Diabetes Lifestyle Coach and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). Jen has a Masters degree in Human Performance from Marymount University and a Bachelors degree in Education from Penn State University.
