Johnnie White
With more than 20 years of experience in the field of association management, Johnnie White is the Sr. Director, Global Education, Meetings and Strategic Partnerships at the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
His responsibilities include the management and development of the organizations education programs, which includes an annual meeting that attracts 9,000 attendees, global outreach and business development. Prior to this position he was the Executive Director of Center for Education at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF). Johnnie was responsible for the strategic management and planning of the annual Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics Scientific Symposium, which attracts an attendance of 12,000, as well as more than 40 other educational programs that took place around the world. He oversaw a budget of $25 million, a staff of 40+ that included five departments which were Meeting Planning, CME and Program Development, Marketing and Creative Services, Educational Services and Strategic Relations and Global Strategies. He was the 2013 Chair of the Board of Directors for the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), member based organization of over 6,000 members in the meeting and hospitality industry, and has been a speaker at many national meeting industry conferences. He has served on many of Board of Directors for companies in the Hospitality industry and is currently the Treasure of the Association for Women in Events (AWE). Prior to CRF, Johnnie worked at The Endocrine Society where he rose from the position of Meeting Manager to Director of Meetings and CME Services. While at The Endocrine Society, Johnnie was named the 2006 Program Chair for the Planning Committee of the PCMA National Conference in Philadelphia, and served as 2006 President, Capital Chapter of PCMA. Johnnie served as the 2011 Secretary/Treasurer for PCMA. Johnnie received his MBA and Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management Systems from the University of Maryland.
