Katrina LeMense is an Adjunct ESOL Instructor in the English Language Center's Intensive English Program and Special Programs . She specializes in cross-cultural communication skills, communicative teaching methods, teacher training, and academic writing. She is passionate about language acquisition, adult education, intercultural competency, writing, and travel.
LeMense is a 6th generation Washingtonian whose relatives have been a part of the Georgetown University family for decades. LeMense is the 3rd Georgetown instructor in her family and she hopes to someday become Georgetown alum like many of her other relatives.
Prior to teaching at the English Language Center, LeMense held teaching positions at San Diego's Miramar Community College, Connect English in San Diego, and LADO International Institute in Washington, DC and in various educational environments in Hawaii, Honduras, and Argentina.
LeMense holds a Master of Education in TESOL, Literacy, and Culture from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Arts with a minor in Disability Services from Miami University of Ohio.
