Dr. Santens is an executive leader with 27 years of service to our nation as an accomplished West Point / Army officer and has over 15 years as an executive in both commercial and U.S. Government industries. He has served in the capacity of CFO and COO spanning diverse industries and functional areas, including small technology businesses ($7M), mid-sized services businesses ($95M), and Fortune 150 companies. He is co-founder and CFO/COO of Jane's Cyber Defense, LLC, which revolutionized and streamlined implementation of the U.S. Government's Risk Management Framework (RMF) for large enterprise solutions. He currently holds a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III in Program Management, Contracting, and Information Technology. He is also a certified Program Manager Professional (PMP), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), and has earned the "Fellow's" distinction from the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). He is an ITILv3, with lead auditor designations for ISO 9001 (Quality), 27001 (I.T.), and 20000-1 (Risk). Michael is a Certified Scrum Master. Currently, he is a National Technical Committee member for the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA) and was elected in 2019 to be on the NCMA National Board Committee of Professional Development and Certifications.
