To earn an Executive Master’s in Humanitarian Crisis & Emergency Management, you must successfully complete five courses (30 credits total), including the following:
Ethical Strategic Leadership, Theory & Legal Framework (6 credits)

Natural & Technological Hazards and Climate Change (6 credits)
Residency Location: Tokyo/Fukushima, Japan
Residency Dates: December 1–5, 2025
Overview: Engagement opportunities may include, but are not limited to, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) Operations Center, Bureau of Construction, River Division (concerning flooding and flood risks), the Nuclear Damage Compensation and Decommissioning Facilitation Corporation (NDF), and the Japan Meteorological Agency (concerning weather observation, earthquake detection, etc.). There will also be multiple learning opportunities with NGOs and private sector organizations, including the Japan Voluntary Agencies Active in Disaster (VOAD), Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, and a member of the Japanese Parliament.
Global Conflict: Terrorism, War, & Disasters (6 credits)

Global Health & Pandemic (6 credits)
Residency Location: Virtual
Residency Dates: April 22–28, 2026 (break on the weekend)
