Simone Jalon
Simoné Jalon-Main, Psy.D. (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist and owner of SJM Psychology.   She received her B.S. in psychology from Drexel University, and her M.A. and Psy.D. degrees in clinical psychology from La Salle University. She completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, where she received extensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). Her post-doctoral fellowship was at an outpatient practice where she received specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Simoné’s 10+ years of clinical experience has been across all levels of mental health care: inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient. Her primary specialties are in treating anxiety disorders, OCD and related disorders, insomnia, and emotion dysregulation. Her experience working in university counseling centers and outpatient mental health has also contributed to her specialization in general stress management, depression, relational issues, and life changes. Simoné has a passion for perinatal and postpartum mental health and is currently working towards her Perinatal Mental Health-Certification (PMH-C). Prior to launching SJM Psychology, LLC, Simoné served as the primary psychologist for students at Georgetown University’s School of Medicine for three years. She has previously taught and supervised advanced students in American University’s Ph.D. program. Simoné currently serves as the Secretary for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Association of Contextual Behavioral Science (MAC-ACBS) and is a member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
