Georgetown University’s Executive Master of Professional Studies in Program & Portfolio Management prepares you to lead organizational change in today’s complex business landscape.
As one of the only graduate degrees of its kind, our program immerses you in a dynamic learning experience that brings together online learning and on-site residencies. You’ll master techniques for optimizing resources, aligning initiatives to strategy, executing projects and programs and realizing their benefits, and evaluating—and refining—performance to maximize returns. You’ll also cultivate the big-picture thinking and technical skills that today’s program and portfolio managers need for success.
You’ll progress through the program as a cohort, learning alongside fellow industry professionals in a collaborative and engaging environment. During each of the three one-week residencies, you’ll gain hands-on experience addressing challenges such as analyzing business impact, adjusting portfolio components, and balancing process and execution.
In between residencies, you’ll learn through a combination of real-time lectures, online coursework, and group discussions. This component of the program is entirely virtual, so you can complete your studies from your home or office.
Our program is grounded in the industry. You’ll study industry best practices while examining key concepts such as project portfolio management, agile PPM, governance and enterprise PMOs, ethical leadership, outsourcing, contract management, and program management and benefits realization.
Throughout the program, you'll have opportunities to practice your skills by working directly with some of the industry’s leading experts and organizations. You’ll also gain exposure to the cutting-edge tools used by today’s program managers, PMO leaders, agile teams, and other practitioners.
