Mark Hunter

Mr. Hunter is currently working at SCG Development, a multi-family real estate firm in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Formerly, he was the Controller for the National Housing Trust in Washington DC. In previous positions, he was advising the project management office for the FBI Headquarters construction, a $3 billion project now in the pre-development phase. Also previously, Mr. Hunter was the CFO for global operations for a major international economic and infrastructure development organization where he was awarded the Distinguished Honor Award. Mr. Hunter has owned and managed investment real estate since 1982 and leads a family-owned apartment property management business.

Mr. Hunter has led a diversity of finance and accounting teams in both Washington and overseas. He has more than two decades of operational and project team leadership experience in Asia, South America, the Middle East and Africa.  Mr. Hunter started his career as a real estate acquisitions analyst at Lepercq Capital Partners in New York City, precursor to Lexington Realty Trust ("LXP"), a New York Stock Exchange real estate investment trust. He later transitioned to a major Wall Street investment firm in New York City as an asset manager for office and residential real estate investment portfolios. Mr. Hunter holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Virginia. He is an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) with IREM and is a Project Management Professional (PMP). Mr. Hunter holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the College of William and Mary.

Formerly, Mr. Hunter was Chairman of the Board for the International School of Kenya and a Board Member of the Maadi British International School in Cairo, Egypt.
