Andrew T. Wackerfuss

Dr. Andrew Wackerfuss is an adjunct professor with the School of Continuing Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program.

He has taught its core course "Nineteenth Century Europe" for almost ten years, in a variety of formats. He works as a historian for the United States Air Force, currently stationed in Ramstein, Germany.

His book "Stormtrooper Families: Homosexuality and Community in Hamburg's Early Nazi Party," was published in 2015 by Harrington Park Press. He has published a variety of academic articles on topics such as Nazi paramilitaries, nationalism and sexuality, and interpretations of World War I in modern video games.

Dr. Wackerfuss holds a BA in History from Northwestern University, an MA in German and European Studies from Georgetown, and a PhD in History from Georgetown in 2009.
